RRI.CO.ID, Abu Dhabi - The arrival of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday, 25 February 2026, not only serves as a diplomatic agenda between countries, but also as an emotional moment for Indonesian students and the diaspora in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Among the rows of well-wishers stood Indonesian students who are pursuing their education in Abu Dhabi. Faces full of pride and emotion were visible when the President greeted and shook hands with them one by one.

Naufal Ahmad Sofyan, an undergraduate student at Muhammad bin Zayed University for Humanities, who also serves as the Vise Chairman of the Indonesian Student Association (PPI) UEA, admitted that he was very impressed to meet the Head of State in person. According to him, the President welcomed him warmly and attentively.

"The impression of welcoming Mr. Prabowo was very pleasant and joyful." Coincidentally, we were able to shake his hand, and it was very impressive for us. Especially President Prabowo, the greatest President," Naufal stated.

Naufal hopes that President Prabowo's visit can further strengthen the relationship between the two countries. As a student, he has directly felt the impact of the good relations between the two countries in the field of education.

"Hopefully, with the presence of the President, every year we can strengthen the relationship well, the bilateral relationship, the relationship between the two countries, which will have an impact on both the economic and educational aspects. And one of the impacts is that we are included in the benefits of the good relationship between the President and the United Arab Emirates," he said.

A similar sentiment was expressed by Sergeant Major Two Mechanical Engineering, Cadet Carina Alexandrea Silaban. He admitted feeling proud and honored to meet and talk directly with the President. "I also feel proud that I can prove I am from Indonesia and can participate in a student exchange here," Carina conveyed.

On that occasion, President Prabowo advised the students to remain enthusiastic about learning and to uphold integrity and loyalty. The message left a strong impression on both of them.
