RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia has underscored that any contribution it makes in Gaza will be firmly rooted in its longstanding commitment to supporting peace for Palestine under the framework of the Two-State Solution. This includes the possible participation of Indonesian forces in international peace efforts in the territory.

Indonesian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Yvonne Mewengkang said that the commitment includes the possible participation of Indonesian forces in international peace efforts in the territory. She said, discussions are still ongoing regarding Indonesia’s potential troop deployment.

“Every Indonesian contribution will be based on the commitment to support a just and sustainable peace for Palestine, in line with the Two-State Solution,” Ivonne said in Jakarta on Tuesday evening, February 10, 2026, as quoted by Antara.

She added that any involvement would remain consistent with Indonesia’s established principles of peacekeeping missions.

At present, no final decision has been made regarding the number of personnel, deployment schedule, or placement locations.

“What we can share is that Indonesia’s approach will prioritize civilian protection, humanitarian support, and Gaza’s reconstruction, with a clearly defined, non-offensive role,” Yvonne explained.

Earlier the same day, another Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Vahd Nabyl A. Mulachela, confirmed that Indonesia is preparing for a potential deployment of security forces to Gaza through the UN-backed International Stabilization Force (ISF).

“Preparations are indeed underway. The timeline is not yet definitive, nor is the number of personnel, but the process is ongoing,” Vahd said in Jakarta. ***
