RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - A donation of 51 medical oxygen cylinder was presented by Ambassador Khalid Jassim Al-Yassin and the Kuwaiti Embassy this week to support several Indonesian health clinics and hospitals.

This initiative was launched to improve medical infrastructure through strategic international cooperation, ensuring that facilities have the necessary tools for respiratory care.

The aid was delivered through a series of handovers to organizations such as the Indonesian Red Cross and regional hospitals to ensure the assistance reaches those in urgent need.

Al-Yassin emphasized that the donation reflects the deep bonds shared by both countries. “This handover is carried out in the spirit of universal humanity and the strong diplomatic relations between Kuwait and the Republic of Indonesia,” he stated on Thursday, January 29, 2026, as quoted by Antara.

The aid was officially presented at the Kuwaiti Embassy on January 27–28 and distributed to the North Jakarta branch of the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) and several hospitals, including Syahid Al Irsyad Haurgeulis and Ummi Bogor.

Additional supplies were sent to various health centers and clinics located in Central Java, Yogyakarta, and Aceh.

Al-Yassin noted that this contribution is a core part of the embassy's ongoing commitment to Indonesian welfare. “This initiative is in line with Kuwait's long history of providing humanitarian assistance to people in need,” he remarked.

He further highlighted that the Kuwaiti government has a long-standing track record of supporting disaster recovery efforts in regions like Aceh and Palu. The North Jakarta PMI responded by describing the assistance as a vital form of support for improving public health services.

The organization expressed its deep gratitude to the embassy for the humanitarian cooperation and voiced its hope for future collaborations. Meanwhile, Chairman of the Al Irsyad Foundation, Fuad Ali Badjri, thanked the embassy for the aid that directly benefits patients in urgent need of oxygen.

He concluded the event by offering a prayer for the continued success of the bilateral partnership. “May this assistance become a continuous charitable deed, and may the good relations between Indonesia and Kuwait continue,” he said. ***
