RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) will hold an agricultural products exhibition on January 31-February 1, 2026, at Sarinah Mall in Central Jakarta. The event, titled the “Taste of America” Festival, will feature 13 U.S. agricultural industry groups.

“This festival will be a unique opportunity to experience the best of American agriculture, flavors, and culture. It is especially exciting as the U.S. celebrates its 250th anniversary this year,” Agricultural Counselor at the U.S. Embassy in Jakarta, Lisa Ahramjian, said during a press briefing on Monday, January 26, 2026.

She explained that the exhibition will showcase a wide range of U.S. agricultural products, including livestock and seafood, with activities involving celebrity chefs and mall visitors.

“We will present products ranging from Alaska seafood to California cheese and Washington apples. We will also highlight U.S. rice, including Japonica rice, which is displayed here today,” Ahramjian noted.

“In addition, we will feature cotton and beautiful batik made from U.S. cotton, Medjool dates, California raisins, and other products, including U.S. soybeans, which you already know through tempeh, and U.S. wheat,” she added.

Ahramjian emphasized that the festival also offers an opportunity to introduce more halal-certified U.S. agricultural products to the Indonesian market. “All products showcased at the festival will be halal-compliant, so there is no need for concern,” she assured.

The festival’s opening ceremony will take place on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. local time, attended by officials from the U.S. Embassy in Jakarta. On Sunday, February 1, the program will begin at 7:00 a.m. to coincide with Jakarta’s Car Free Day.

Following the festival, the USDA Agribusiness Trade Mission will visit Indonesia from February 2–5, 2026. Led by U.S. Deputy Secretary of Agriculture Luke J. Lindberg, the mission will bring around 85 companies and industry representatives to explore trade and partnership opportunities. (Diva Rifdah/Sri Wahyuni)
