RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - At a press conference held in Jakarta, Monday, 19 January 2026, Minister of State Secretary, Prasetyo Hadi, outlined a series of strategic agendas for President Prabowo Subianto’s working visits to London, England, and Davos, Switzerland. He also explained that a primary focus of the visit to the United Kingdom is environmental cooperation, specifically regarding elephant conservation efforts in Aceh.

“There are plans for the President to meet with King Charles to follow up on our commitment to elephant conservation in the province of Aceh,” he stated.

Discussions on elephant conservation in Aceh involve the transfer of PT Tusam Hutani Lestari's forest concession to be utilized as a wildlife corridor. The land has officially been converted into an elephant protection area through a collaborative initiative with the British government.

In addition to environmental concerns, strengthening the maritime economy is a top priority during the UK visit. Hadi further said,“The second agenda is planned to include the signing of several MOUs on cooperation, including cooperation on the manufacture of fishing boats for our fishermen.”

Minister of State Secretary emphasized that this step is essential for managing Indonesia’s vast maritime territory, which covers two-thirds of the country's total area. Furthermore, while in the UK, the President is exploring partnerships with the Russell Group to establish Indonesian campuses specializing in technology and medicine.
