KBRN, Jakarta: According to the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, 15 Indonesian citizens (WNI) were impacted by US President Donald Trump's deportation plan. These individuals are facing legal issues related to immigration violations.

Indonesian Foreign Affairs Ministry's Indonesian Citizens Protection Director Judha Nugraha mentioned that they were arrested by the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

"Based on the information we received, out of the 15 individuals, one has been deported due to immigration violations," Judha told reporters at the RRI office in Central Jakarta on Monday, April 21, 2025, as quoted by rri.co.id.

Judha explained that Kemlu RI operates six representative offices in the United States, including the Indonesian Embassy in Washington, D.C., and Consulates General in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston, and New York.

"All Indonesian representative offices are actively working to provide protection for Indonesian citizens in the U.S., including coordinating with various authorities such as ICE and Homeland Security, as well as engaging with Indonesian communities across the country," Judha emphasized. ***
