RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia's Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin attended the launch of the Free Health Check (locally known as Cek Kesehatan Gratis or CKG) at Bhayangkara Hospital, Jakarta, on Tuesday, 23 June 2026. In his remarks, the Minister of Health emphasized the importance of early detection of non-communicable diseases, which are the leading cause of death in Indonesia, such as stroke, heart disease, cancer, and kidney failure.
He reminded the public to pay attention to four key health indicators: blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, and body mass index (BMI). "Therefore, the Free Health Check program from President Prabowo must be utilized optimally," said Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin.
He explained that blood pressure should be maintained below 120/80 mmHg, blood sugar levels should not exceed 200 mg/dL, and cholesterol levels should remain below 200 mg/dL. Furthermore, the public is also encouraged to maintain an ideal body weight through a healthy lifestyle and regular physical activity.
"If the test results show a reading above normal, do not ignore it even if you feel healthy. Immediately go to a community health center or a health facility established by the National Police (Polri) for treatment," the Minister of Health emphasized.
On the same occasion, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo stated that the 2026 National Police Health Service program was held simultaneously throughout Indonesia from 1 June to 1 July 2026. This campaign involved approximately 5,354 health workers, providing a total of more than 664,000 health services to the public.
During this activity, the National Police also launched the "Workers Priority Bhayangkara Card" as a form of support for health services for workers throughout Indonesia through the National Police hospital network. "This card is expected to make it easier for workers to obtain health check-ups at Polri health facilities throughout Indonesia," said the National Police Chief.
Andi Gani Nena Wea, President of the Confederation of All Indonesian Trade Unions (KSPSI), expressed his appreciation for the synergy between the National Police and trade unions in supporting workers' health amidst global economic challenges and the threat of layoffs. He stated that the health program for workers is a concrete step that significantly helps workers and their families.
