RRI.CO.ID, Madinah - The Indonesian Ministry of Hajj ensures optimal healthcare services for pilgrims during the 2026 Hajj season. Head of Madinah Regional Health Section, Enny Nuryanti, made the statement in Madinah on Tuesday, April 21, 2026.
The ministry provides 24-hour services at the Indonesian Hajj Health Clinic (KKHI) in Madinah. It also strengthens the referral system with hospitals across Saudi Arabia.
This measure aims to maintain pilgrims’ health amid potential extreme weather conditions. Such conditions may affect their immune systems during the pilgrimage period.
She confirmed that KKHI is fully prepared. She emphasized that healthcare services will operate continuously without interruption every day.
In addition, Enny highlighted the importance of readiness among medical personnel and supporting facilities at KKHI. She also stressed the need for responsive services to handle various health conditions effectively.
"Twenty-four hours a day, yes," she said. She assured that medical personnel remain on standby to handle various health complaints from pilgrims. KKHI Madinah is supported by general practitioners, specialists, nurses, pharmacists, and other medical staff.
The clinic is equipped with ambulances, treatment rooms, and supporting medical equipment. These include X-rays, ultrasound machines, and a pharmacy for comprehensive services.
KKHI also implements a referral system for pilgrims requiring further medical treatment. This system is strengthened through cooperation with hospitals in Saudi Arabia.
Further, Enny noted that dehydration is a common health concern during the Hajj season, especially under extreme weather conditions. Pilgrims are advised to drink water regularly in small but frequent amounts to maintain proper hydration.
