RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia and the World Health Organization signed a grant agreement. The agreement establishes the Joint Workplan WHO Biennium 2026–2027 supporting national health system resilience in Indonesia.

According to Health Ministry's press release on Wednesday, 18 February 2026, the collaboration aligns national programs with strategic frameworks and six pillars of health transformation. These frameworks include ministerial strategies and national development planning priorities for 2025–2029 period implementation.

Through the agreement, WHO Indonesia provides financial support totaling USD 14,859,366 for program implementation. The grant includes funding in forms of money, goods, and technical services across the biennium period.

Indonesian Health Ministry's Secretary General, Kunta Wibawa Dasa Nugraha, expressed appreciation for longstanding collaboration support from partners. He noted WHO contributions strengthened promotive preventive efforts and improved overall national health services.

“The signing of the grant agreement and joint workplan ensures continued WHO support for health priorities,” Kunta said. He added the collaboration strengthens resilient inclusive and sustainable health systems across Indonesia through coordinated implementation.

Kunta further affirmed the ministry commitment to optimize joint workplan implementation through coordination with technical units receiving grants. He also expects continued WHO technical and policy support strengthening planning monitoring and evaluation capacities nationally.

The agreement is expected to accelerate agreed health activities and deliver measurable benefits for Indonesia’s public health outcomes. It also supports achieving national health targets and broader sustainable development goals through strengthened system resilience.
