RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) is promoting public education on forest and land fire management through its booth at INDO FIREX Expo & Forum 2026, held from August 11 to 13, 2026. The event was officially opened by Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono on Tuesday, August 11, 2026. BNPB was represented by its Deputy for Logistics and Equipment.
BNPB’s booth highlights forest and land fires as its main theme, showcasing equipment, visual materials, and information on disaster management to help visitors better understand wildfire risks and response efforts. Items on display include wildfire trail motorcycles, firefighting pumps, fire extinguishers, personal protective equipment (PPE), miniature aircraft and helicopters, miniature vehicles, equipment models, permanent housing models, and a forest and land fire diorama.
The wildfire diorama provides visitors with a visual overview of forest and land fire conditions and response efforts, while miniature equipment introduces the logistics and facilities used in disaster operations. BNPB Deputy for Logistics and Equipment Andi Eviana said the exhibition provides an opportunity to introduce BNPB’s role and disaster response equipment to the public and stakeholders.
“Through this exhibition, we want to give the public an overview of the various equipment and support used in disaster management, particularly in responding to forest and land fires. Education like this is important so that people can better understand disaster risks and the efforts that can be taken to reduce them,” Andi Eviana said, as quoted from an official statement.
The BNPB booth also features informative multimedia content covering disaster risks, mitigation, preparedness, and emergency response. Visitors can also participate in interactive quizzes through an application.
Since the exhibition opened, the booth has attracted visitors from ministries and government agencies, regional governments, industry players, exhibitors, and the general public. BNPB’s participation also supports cooperation among government, businesses, industry, and other stakeholders in developing disaster-related technologies and innovations.
Through INDO FIREX 2026, BNPB aims to strengthen disaster literacy, preparedness, and community resilience, particularly in dealing with forest and land fire threats.
