The BNPB in its written press release stated disasters related to hydrometeorological factors continue to dominate several regions across the country.

Forest and land fires occurred in multiple provinces, including East Java, Aceh, and South Kalimantan. The Agency recorded a forest and land fire in Jombang Regency, East Java, on Tuesday, July 14, 2026. The blaze consumed four hectares of sugarcane fields in Kertorejo Village, Ngoro Subdistrict. The fire was successfully extinguished that same day by a joint task force led by the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD).

Two other forest and land fire incidents were recorded in South Kalimantan Province, specifically in the city of Banjarbaru and Banjar Regency. The fire in Banjarbaru, which occurred on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, affected two urban villages across two subdistricts: Cempaka Urban Village in Cempaka Subdistrict and Landasan Ulin Timur Urban Village in Landasan Ulin Subdistrict. The blaze scorched 12.6 hectares of scrubland, likely caused by hot and dry weather. The local BPBD successfully extinguished the fire in Cempaka Village that same day, while a joint task force continued working to put out the fire in Landasan Ulin Timur.

In South Kalimantan Province, forest and land fires also struck Tungkaran Village, Martapura Subdistrict, Banjar Regency, on Tuesday, July 14, 2026. The cause of the fire is still under investigation by the authorities. The Banjar Regency BPBD recorded that the burned area reached 10 hectares. Firefighters successfully extinguished the blaze on the same day.

In Aceh Province, a forest and land fire occurred in Gayo Murni Village, Atu Lintang Subdistrict, Central Aceh Regency, on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at 5:15 p.m. local time. The cause of the fire remains unknown and is under investigation. One hectare of land was affected by the incident, and the fire was extinguished by Tuesday evening.

Meanwhile, extreme weather characterized by heavy rain and strong winds struck Cipeundeuy Village, Cipeundeuy Subdistrict, Subang Regency, West Java. The incident, which occurred on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, knocked down trees and damaged public facilities. In addition, the disaster claimed the life of one resident. The Subang Regency BPBD has evacuated the victim and cleared away fallen branches and trees.
