RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia is strengthening its response to the global climate crisis by reviving the Climate and Carbon Collaboration and Consultation House (RKKIK) as a platform to accelerate national climate action and the implementation of carbon economic policies.
According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Environment/Environmental Control Agency (KLH/BPLH) on June 4, 2026, Minister Moh Jumhur Hidayat, said the success of the climate agenda depends not only on government policies but also on the ability to build collaboration among various stakeholders.
"The success of the climate agenda is determined not only by the quality of the policies we formulate, but also by our ability to build a collaborative ecosystem that connects knowledge, data, resources, and concrete actions on the ground. Therefore, RKKIK serves as a shared platform for all stakeholders to discuss, consult, exchange experiences, and build synergies in achieving Indonesia's climate goals," he said.
According to him, RKKIK is more than a physical space; it is a collaborative platform that brings together ideas, innovations, and solutions to address climate change challenges while strengthening Indonesia's low-carbon development efforts.
Meanwhile, Deputy for Climate Change Control and Carbon Economic Value Governance at KLH/BPLH, Ary Sudijanto, explained that RKKIK is designed as a hub for consultation, communication, information, and education to support the implementation of climate and carbon policies in Indonesia.
"RKKIK is an important instrument for strengthening the effectiveness of achieving Indonesia's Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) targets and implementing Carbon Economic Value policies," Ary said.
Going forward, RKKIK will support various strategic initiatives, including climate change mitigation and adaptation, the implementation of Carbon Economic Value (NEK), management of the National Registry System for Climate Change Control (SRN PPI), the Carbon Unit Registry System (SRUK), as well as the facilitation of international climate cooperation and climate financing.
Through this platform, the government aims to accelerate the achievement of Indonesia's climate targets while supporting the transition toward resilient and sustainable low-carbon development.
