RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The enduring bond between Irish pop sensations Westlife and their Indonesian fanbase reached a new emotional peak on Tuesday night, February 10, 2026, during their "A Gala Evening" concert. Performing at the Nusantara International Convention Exhibition (NICE) in the PIK 2 area of Tangerang, Banten, the group declared the nation their "second home," citing a quarter-century of unwavering warmth and hospitality.

Addressing a sea of thousands of devoted fans, Shane Filan reflected on the group's journey from their 1999 debut to the present day. He noted that their Indonesian shows have remained consistently sold out throughout their career, a testament to a connection that transcends mere celebrity.

Shane expressed the depth of this relationship. "You know when you feel you have a special bond, for 25 years, you have shown so much love to us. Every time we come here, like I said last night, every time we come to Indonesia, we feel this is our second home".

As reported by Antara, the evening was more than just a tour stop, it served as a significant chapter in the band's history.

"We feel as if we've been here often. Every time we come, this place is always crowded, I really love Indonesia," said Shane.

Fellow member Nicky Byrne echoed these sentiments by crediting the group's longevity and continued presence in the industry to their local fans. He attributed this success directly to the unwavering loyalty of Westlife's Indonesian supporters.

The concert delivered a masterclass in nostalgia, with the trio performing a total of 19 songs that defined an era of pop music. The setlist featured iconic hits such as "Swear It Again," "Flying Without Wings," and "Uptown Girl," alongside fan favorites "My Love," "If I Let You Go," and "You Raise Me Up".

For Westlife, the night reaffirmed that Indonesia is not just a destination on a map, but a vital part of their collective memory and legacy. ***
