KBRN, Jakarta: Indonesian band Barasuara is set to embark on a showcase tour for their album Jalaran Sadrah in five major cities across Indonesia this December. The tour marks a celebration of their musical journey and introduces their latest work to fans and new audiences alike.

“Conceptually, there’s something new here musically. We’ll perform two sets: a full band set and an acoustic set in between. This is a new formula we want to try, so there will definitely be something different,” said Barasuara vocalist and guitarist Iga Massardi at a press conference on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, as quoted by antaranews.com.

The tour will feature songs from Jalaran Sadrah, released in 2024, which includes nine tracks. Among them are three popular singles: “Terbuang dalam Waktu,” “Merayakan Fana,” and “Fatalis,” the latter of which earned the band an award for Best Rock Group.

Iga also revealed that the band will debut a new song during the tour, one that has never been performed publicly. The track will be included in an upcoming acoustic album slated for release next year as a bonus for tour attendees.

The Jalaran Sadrah tour will kick off on December 5 at GOR Bikasoga in Bandung, followed by Earth Space Cirebon (December 7), Nice Time Purwokerto (December 12), SMI Hall Semarang (December 14), and conclude at Bali United in Jakarta on December 20.

Ticket prices range from IDR 175,000 for shows in Cirebon, Purwokerto, and Semarang, to IDR 200,000 in Bandung, and IDR 225,000 in Jakarta. Tickets will be available for purchase via Loket.com starting October 22, 2025.

The tour promises an intimate atmosphere, allowing closer interaction between Barasuara’s members and their loyal fanbase, affectionately known as “storm riders.” With its distinctive dual-set format and energetic performances, the tour is expected to offer a unique live music experience.

Formed in Jakarta in 2012, Barasuara is one of Indonesia’s most influential contemporary bands, known for their electrifying live performances and genre-blending sound that fuses indie rock, folk, blues, and pop.

The group consists of Iga Massardi (vocals/guitar), Marco Steffiano (drums), TJ Kusuma (guitar), Gerald Situmorang (bass), and vocalists Puti Chitara and Asteriska.

Their debut album Taifun (2015) was hailed as one of the best indie releases of the year and helped cement their reputation in the national music scene.

Barasuara’s lyrics often explore philosophical and emotional themes, delivered with powerful instrumentation and layered harmonies.

Their songs gained renewed popularity after being featured in the film Sore: Istri dari Masa Depan (translated as Sore: Wife from the Future), introducing them to a wider audience and sparking viral attention. ***
