KBRN, Jakarta: Several prominent figures paid their respects to the legendary Indonesian artist Titiek Puspa at her residence in Jakarta, Thursday (10/4/2025). One of the figures is a renowned Indonesian musician, Yovie Widianto. “Personally, I was deeply shocked—we've lost a hero who meant so much to Indonesia... I know her works will remain eternal in Indonesian art,” he said, as reported by Antara news agency.

Yovie remembered Titiek as a figure with a talent that resembled a miracle. He prayed that the Almighty God would grant Titiek the best place.

"Without a doubt, we Indonesian musicians, composers, and artists pray that our hero is granted a place in Allah's paradise, the most beautiful place by the side of the Almighty," he said.

Titiek Puspa was renowned for writing dozens of songs and albums that became hits in Indonesia during the late 20th century, as well as her role in several films. She also participated in the "Bintang Radio" singing competition in 1954 and 1960, organized by Radio Republik Indonesia (RRI), Indonesia's public radio network that also runs RRI Voice of Indonesia.
