KBRN Sragen: The community in Solo Raya has recently been excited by the classic 70s dangdut music group, namely Orkes Melayu (OM) or Malay Orchestra Lorenza. Residents even dress up in 70s fashion when they come to the OM Lorenza show.

This was evident during the OM Lorenza concert at Ndayu Park, Sragen Regency, Central Java, on Sunday, February 23, 2025. Thousands of fans from various backgrounds warmly welcomed the performance, dancing and singing along.

One fan, Sriyanto, expressed his pride in being a fan of retro dangdut music. He believed that the music and fashion styles are timeless.

"While contemporary music evolves, people have their own tastes. Clearly, retro dangdut music can still be appreciated by young people and even their fashion follows suit," he said as quoted by rri.co.id.

The concert of OM Lorenza coincided with the socialization agenda of the Central Java Regional Legislative Council member, Wulan Purnamasari, focusing on policies related to traditional culture under the theme of preserving Central Java's culture. In addition to classic dangdut music, traditional dance performances were also featured.

"Central Java, including Sragen Regency, is rich in traditional cultural products that must be preserved. It's not just about music and dance; there are also well-known products like Sragen's goyor fabric,'" said Wulan.

She expressed her happiness with the unity of the Sragen people, especially as the audience boldly expressed themselves through unique vintage outfits. Wulan urged the audience to remain orderly and maintain cleanliness during the event. ***
