DKI Jakarta Wins Overall Champion Title at the 2026 National Science Olympiad

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The DKI Jakarta Administrative Province has once again secured the title of Overall Champion at the 2026 National Science Olympiad (OSN). The Jakarta’s contingent successfully gained a total of 82 medals, comprising 21 gold, 26 silver, and 35 bronze medals.

The Head of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Education Board, Nahdiana, expressed her appreciation to the students, supervising teachers, schools, and all parties who supported and guided the students throughout the 2026 OSN.

"This achievement is the result of the hard work and perseverance of the students and supervising teachers, as well as the support from parents, schools, and everyone who accompanied them during the 2026 OSN. We extend our highest appreciation to all the students and supervising teachers who strove to uphold the reputation of DKI Jakarta," she said, as quoted from Jakarta.go.id website.

She also hopes that this achievement will serve as motivation for more students in Jakarta to develop their potential, interests, and abilities, particularly in the field of science.

"Hopefully, this will inspire students in Jakarta to continue growing and achieving even more," Nahdiana conveyed. The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government remains committed to supporting the development of students' potential and achievements, including through the National Science Olympiad.

Participants representing DKI Jakarta at the national level received guidance through intensive training camps to ensure thorough preparation. This initiative is part of the effort to encourage students to continuously develop their skills and excel in various fields, for instance, science.

Winning the Overall Champion title at the 2026 OSN also marks the continuation of DKI Jakarta's success from the previous year. In the 2025 OSN, DKI Jakarta also emerged as the Overall Champion, securing 79 medals: 17 gold, 31 silver, and 31 bronze. Compared to the previous year, DKI Jakarta's medal haul at OSN 2026 increased by three medals, rising from 79 to 82. The number of gold medals also increased from 17 to 21, an addition of four medals.
