RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, fosters its commitment to public information transparency by optimizing the management of its Public Information and Documentation Management Officer (PPID) website. The initiative is part of the 2026 Public Information Transparency Monitoring and Evaluation (PEKIP) socialization held online on Thursday, September 10, involving Higher Education Service Institutions (LLDikti), vocational state universities, and public relations units across Kemdiktisaintek.
The Ministry's Head of General Affairs, Public Relations, and Procurement Bureau and Chief PPID Officer, Manifes Zubayr, said public information transparency should become part of the government’s daily service to the public. He emphasized that PEKIP should not be treated merely as an activity prepared for evaluation, but as an integral part of routine work in meeting the public’s information needs.
According to him, the success of public information transparency is not determined solely by meeting PEKIP assessment indicators. It also depends on the consistency of every work unit in establishing effective information governance and strengthening coordination between implementing officers and institutional leaders.
As part of the commitment, Kemdiktisaintek symbolically signed an agreement to optimize the management of its PPID website. The signing involved Head of the Ministry's Data and Information Technology Center Andika Fajar, Manifes Zubayr, Head of the Public Relations and Protocol Division, Doddy Zulkifli Indra Atmaja, and representatives of work units responsible for public information.
“By optimizing the PPID website, we hope the public will receive public information services that meet their needs. At the same time, an optimized PPID website will help improve the Ministry's public information transparency rating,” Manifes said.
Andika Fajar said that in the era of digital transformation, government services must provide a positive digital experience for users. Features such as improved information search and more flexible navigation are expected to make it easier for the public to access information through the PPID website.
“Technology is not positioned as the final goal. Instead, technology is used as a tool to make it easier for people to access services,” Andika said, adding that the development is expected to lay the foundation for public information services that are increasingly digital, integrated, secure, and user-friendly.
The signing was followed by a socialization session and presentation of the 2026 PEKIP technical guidelines by Kemdiktisaintek’s Public Information and Library Services Team. The activity is expected to strengthen a shared understanding and commitment among institutional leaders and information managers to improve coordination, optimize PPID management, and provide better public information services.
