RRI.CO.ID, Pelalawan – Minister of Manpower Yassierli emphasized that the younger generation must master three key mindsets to strengthen the competitiveness of Indonesia’s human resources in the global job market. He delivered this message at the 2026 Tanoto Scholars Gathering in Pelalawan, Riau, on Wednesday, July 22, 2026.

Strengthening the capacity of young people is seen as an absolute prerequisite for realizing the 2045 Golden Indonesia vision. Speaking before hundreds of scholarship recipients, the Minister explained that the transformation of the labor landscape requires a mental foundation that is not only resilient, but also oriented toward long-term solutions.

The three essential mindsets include an innovation mindset, a growth mindset, and a future mindset to address the challenges of modern times. Minister Yassierli believes that combining these three mindsets will encourage young people to learn consistently, take calculated risks, and create a positive impact on the nation’s progress.

“These three keys are crucial for the younger generation if they want to become impactful leaders of ‘Golden Indonesia’ and propel the country to new heights,” Yassierli said.

Furthermore, the government emphasized that the primary focus right now is on building a sustainable culture of innovation rather than merely implementing short-term projects. This approach is expected to generate fresh ideas, improve operational efficiency, and create new business models relevant to global market needs.

Such innovations are expected to manifest in various services and work models that provide tangible added value to the industry. This step is believed to create more job opportunities while strengthening the nation’s economic resilience amid global uncertainty.

“My vision for 2045 is that Indonesia will become a great nation only if we become an ‘Innovation Nation’, a nation of innovators. This is what I am currently advocating for,” he explained.
