RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – The ‘Museum Listrik dan Energi Baru’ or Museum of Electricity and New Energy at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) offers engaging science education. Managed by State Electricity Corporation (PLN), the museum showcases the history of electricity and renewable energy.
This unique building was specially designed based on the architectural concept of an atomic structure. Its shape resembles a central proton surrounded by three electrons.
This unique concept is directly applied to the magnificent Electricity Pavilion. This main building is surrounded by three other energy pavilions.
The three pavilions are the New Energy Pavilion, the Fossil Energy Pavilion, and the Conventional Energy Pavilion. All of these pavilions feature highly interactive science exhibits.
The museum also offers a full range of amenities to enhance visitors’ comfort. It includes a children’s play area, a 5D theater, and green open spaces.
The museum is open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Jakarta time. Admission to this educational attraction is very affordable for everyone. The weekday rate is Rp20,000, while the weekend rate is just Rp25,000.
