Indonesia Wins Best Team Spirit at the 2026 Asian Pastry Cup in Singapore

RRI.CO.ID, Singapore - The 2026 Asian Pastry Cup once again served as the premier stage for Asia's finest pastry talents. In this year's competition, Team Japan claimed the top title, while Team Indonesia returned home with the Best Team Spirit Award.
The event, held in Singapore, serves as a qualifying round for the Coupe du Monde de la Pâtisserie 2027 in Lyon, France, scheduled for January 2027. Alongside Japan's first-place finish, Malaysia secured second place and the Philippines took third.
The Promising Talent Award was presented to Team India, while Team Singapore and South Korea also earned berths to Lyon through the Passport to Lyon pathway.
This year's competition received full backing from Elle & Vire Professionnel, which is celebrating its 80th anniversary in 2026. The premium food ingredient brand from Normandy, France, returned as the principal sponsor of the Asian Pastry Cup, reaffirming its commitment to advancing the professional pastry industry across Asia.
Managing Director of Southern Asia Pacific at Savencia Group, Wenceslas Wedrychowski, described the Asian Pastry Cup as a vital platform for showcasing the creativity and technical mastery of Asia's emerging pastry chefs.
"This competition reflects the remarkable passion, discipline, and creativity of Asia's pastry talents. We are proud to support them on their journey to the world stage," he said in an official statement on Sunday, May 10, 2026.
In addition to Elle & Vire Professionnel, the competition was also supported by a number of other premium brands, including Valrhona, Sosa, Adamance, and Norohy.
Wenceslas noted that beyond the competition, his company will continue to broaden its support for the pastry community across Asia through training programs and masterclasses.
