Cold and windy weather conditions did not reduce visitors’ enthusiasm throughout the event. Many people queued patiently while socializing and reconnecting with fellow attendees. The lively atmosphere highlighted strong and growing interest in Indonesian cuisine.
Several participating MSMEs already operate established restaurants in London city areas. These include Triple Hot Spicy, located in the Westminster government district area. Another participant, Ngopi UK, serves specialty Indonesian coffee to local customers.
Before delivering his remarks, Indonesian Ambassador to the United Kingdom Desra Percaya explained the main purpose of the event. He emphasized the important role of MSMEs in promoting Indonesian cuisine globally. He also highlighted opportunities to expand into broader international markets.
“This event is deliberately held during the Eid period to ease homesickness among Indonesians for the atmosphere of home,” he said.
