RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia’s inflation data will be the main focus at the start of today’s trading session. Indonesia is expected to record annual inflation of around 3.4% in September 2026.
Earlier, the United States reported lower-than-expected inflation data. US core inflation stood at 3% year-on-year in August, below the market consensus of 3.3%.
Despite the lower US inflation figure, the Dow Jones index closed lower. Continued selling pressure in the US bond market pushed the 10-year US Treasury yield above 5.3%.

Asian stock markets were mixed in today’s trading session. The pressure in global bond markets remains an important factor for investors.
The Indonesia Stock Exchange Composite Index (IHSG) opened lower at 6,062. The index is expected to trade between 6,030 and 6,130 during today’s session.
The Indonesian rupiah also weakened to around 17,915 per US dollar. Higher US Treasury yields and a stronger US Dollar Index, which reached 101.5, added pressure on the rupiah.
The rupiah is expected to remain below 17,950 during the trading session. Meanwhile, global bond market pressure could also affect Indonesian bonds and potentially increase pressure for higher domestic interest rates.
Gold prices also declined, trading at around US$4,153 per troy ounce. This is equivalent to roughly Rp2.4 million per gram based on the figures provided.
