RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) have completed partnership to support integrated development in Rebana Area, which includes Cirebon-Patimban-Kertajati in West Java. The partnership focused on industrial growth and logistics connectivity around Patimban International Port.

The partnership culminated in the Final Joint Coordinating Committee (JCC) Meeting on Tuesday, 29 September 2026. The meeting was held in Jakarta with Indonesian and Japanese representatives.

“Rebana Area has great potential as a growth pole and economic catalyst,” said Dida Gardera, the Acting Deputy for Industry Manpower and Tourism Coordination at the Coordinating Ministry for Economy. He affirmed that development requires strong coordination and consistent government policy implementation.

The two-year partnership produced an updated Master Plan for Rebana Area. The plan focuses on integrating industrial development with improved logistics connectivity.

The cooperation also developed a Green Industry Hub development plan. An Eco-Industrial Park guideline was also prepared to support sustainable industrial transformation.

Institutional strengthening and investment promotion strategies were also prioritized under the initiative. Sustainability-based strategies aim to attract domestic and global investors.

Rebana Area development is supported by twelve National Strategic Projects. Eight projects have been completed, including dams, toll roads, and industrial areas.

Investment reached Rp131.62 trillion between 2021 and first half of 2026. The investment also absorbed 320,446 workers across the Rebana Area.

JCC members formally approved the Project Completion Report and post-project Action Plan. The Ministry pledged continued oversight of the Rebana Master Plan implementation.
