Rosan: Investment in Jakarta Makes Significant Contribution to National Economy

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – Minister of Investment and Downstream Industry/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), Rosan Roeslani, said investment in Jakarta makes a significant contribution to total investment entering Indonesia.

“Jakarta makes a very significant contribution to total investment entering Indonesia,” Rosan said during the Jakarta Investment Festival 2026 in Jakarta on Friday, August 28.

He said Jakarta’s position in national investment realization is relatively strong, ranking among the top two and, during certain periods, taking the top position. He said the high level of investment activity in Jakarta needs to be accompanied by optimal implementation of various projects so that they benefit not only Jakarta’s economy but also the national economy.

“We want to ensure that, given the many projects and activities in Jakarta, we can accelerate them and ensure their implementation runs properly and effectively,” he said.

According to him, the central government is encouraging a number of investment projects in Jakarta to ensure they are optimally realized and provide broad benefits to the public.

Rosan also expressed appreciation for the communication and coordination carried out by Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung in discussing various efforts to increase investment in Jakarta.

He said synergy between the central government and the Jakarta Provincial Government is necessary to ensure that various investment opportunities generate meaningful benefits for the public.

“How can we continue to work in synergy and deliver benefits to all Indonesians,” Rosan said.
