RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The 2026 Indonesian Creative Works Exhibition (KKI) recorded provisional sales of MSME products totaling IDR 144.2 billion (approximately USD 8.14 million), marking a 46 percent increase compared with last year’s event.
Bank Indonesia (BI) Deputy Governor Aida S. Budiman said the KKI is specifically organized to support Indonesia’s MSMEs. “They need an ecosystem that enables them to grow, become resilient, and remain competitive in a sustainable manner,” Aida said in a statement on Monday, August 24, 2026.
In addition to boosting sales, KKI 2026 facilitated export business matching, generating IDR 169.9 billion in export transactions. The program involved 192 MSMEs and buyers from 16 countries.
Meanwhile, business matching in the financing sector reached IDR 285 billion, representing a 30.3 percent increase compared with the average achievement over the past three years.
According to Aida, these results show that MSMEs now have broader access to markets, financing, and business networks, both domestically and internationally. This aligns with efforts to build an MSME ecosystem that expands market access and financing so MSMEs can level up.
KKI 2026 also highlighted innovation in local brands by younger generations and the implementation of sustainability principles. The MSME ecosystem is built from upstream to downstream through collaboration and capacity building.
More than 1,860 MSMEs from across Indonesia participated in the event, with around 560 attending in person. They showcased a variety of flagship products, including traditional textiles, ready‑to‑wear fashion, food and beverages, home decor, and creative works by young creators.
The KKI is supported by 27 ministries and agencies, 34 associations, partners, industry representatives, banks, academics, and other stakeholders. A network of 46 BI representative offices in Indonesia and five overseas representative offices supports market development, curation, and expansion.
KKI 2026 also strengthens regional potential through the “Cangkir Barista” and “Citra Nusa” programs. “Cangkir Barista” is a coffee entrepreneurship development program that enhances baristas’ skills, provides national certification, and offers business mentoring.
Meanwhile, “Citra Nusa” aims to boost the competitiveness of textile MSMEs through capacity building, design innovation, and the development of export‑oriented products. “Both programs also aim to drive inclusive and sustainable economic growth and create jobs,” Aida said.
She added that these activities reaffirm BI’s commitment to advancing Indonesia’s MSMEs. “If not us, then who else? If not now, then when will Indonesia’s MSMEs become the masters of their own products?” she said. (Gusti Panji)
