RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – Financial regulators are stepping up market integrity reforms to make Indonesia’s capital market more transparent, efficient, and trusted by global investors. The Financial Services Authority (OJK) announced this priority during the 49th anniversary of the market’s reactivation in Jakarta on Monday, August 10, 2026.

The reform plan focuses on boosting liquidity, enhancing governance, and strengthening market supervision. This initiative aims to support national development and build a resilient economy.

“OJK is committed to continuously improving liquidity, transparency, governance, enforcement, and synergy as part of the action plan for integrity reforms in the Indonesian capital market. OJK also continues to strengthen institutional capacity and the supervisory system,” Chairperson of the OJK Board of Commissioners Friderica Widyasari Dewi said.

She explained that these reforms have increased the number of investors to over 30.27 million Single Investor Identification accounts. This 48.67 percent year-over-year growth reflects the public’s high level of confidence.

Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto, commended the OJK’s reform efforts, which he considers crucial for maintaining the confidence of global investors. According to him, the capital market has always served as the primary barometer of the national economy for investors.

“I also commend the reforms that have been implemented and hope that the financial sector will become increasingly credible, innovative, and competitive,” the Minister said.

Vice Minister of Finance, Juda Agung, also fully supports the agenda to accelerate integrity reforms currently being carried out by the OJK in collaboration with the stock exchange. The government hopes that the capital market can become an increasingly strong and trustworthy driver of economic growth.
