RRI.CO.ID, Semarang - Indonesia promoted women's entrepreneurship through a business exhibition organized by the Central Java chapter of the Indonesian Women Entrepreneurs Association (IWAPI). The event was held at Ciputra Mall Semarang, Central Java, from Friday to Sunday, July 24–26, 2026.

The exhibition, titled "IWAPI Berkarya Ekonomi Jaya," showcased various products from women entrepreneurs across Central Java. The event featured handicrafts, fashion products, culinary businesses, and other creations from members representing 30 regional IWAPI branches.

The exhibition served as a platform to promote women-led micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). It also provided opportunities for entrepreneurs to expand market access and strengthen business networks.

Central Java Regional Secretary, Sumarno, said strong organizations and collaboration are important to support women's economic growth. He encouraged IWAPI members to continue working together to create greater progress.

"Continue to stay united, because a strong organization is an organization that stands together. IWAPI is here to help all members advance together. With a strong and united organization, it will certainly bring real progress for its members," he said.

The event also featured various competitions, including traditional food contests, lion dance performances, and exhibition booth awards. These activities highlighted creativity and cultural elements alongside women's business development.

Nining Collection, a participant from Semarang, won the best exhibition booth award. The business focuses on creating products from various materials, including recycled fabric pieces, while providing employment opportunities.

Chairperson of the Central Board of IWAPI, Nita Yudi, expressed optimism that Central Java IWAPI could again receive the National Model Regional Board award in 2026. She said the achievement is supported by the organization's consistent efforts in developing women entrepreneurs across cities and regencies.

The exhibition reflects Indonesia's commitment to strengthening women's participation in the economy. Through entrepreneurship development and business promotion, women-led enterprises continue to contribute to local economic growth.
