RRI.CO.ID, Badung – The Indonesian Ministry of Industry has officially launched the 2026 Creative Business Incubator (CBI) program, an intensive training platform tailored for young entrepreneurs in the fashion and crafts sectors. The hybrid event, held in Badung, Bali, on Monday, July 20, 2026, was officially opened by Reni Yanita, the Director General of Small, Medium, and Miscellaneous Industries.

In her remarks, Reni stated that the CBI program has consistently delivered a significant positive impact on local businesses. She emphasized that the primary challenge today is ensuring that small and medium-sized industries can scale up effectively through stronger supply chains and robust business mentoring.

“The CBI program has produced numerous success stories among its alumni, demonstrating tangible business growth," Reni said. "Through the mentoring process, participants have successfully increased production capacity, boosted revenue, and scaled up from micro to small businesses, as well as from small to medium-sized enterprises. Beyond that, a number of alumni have achieved notable accomplishments and expanded their market access both domestically and internationally.”

The program's success is highlighted by Seminyak Leather from Badung, which has successfully entered export markets in the United States, Canada, Europe, and the Middle East. Additionally, Rappo from Makassar has achieved remarkable success through its innovative plastic waste processing, leading to high-profile collaborations with Garuda Indonesia and the Borobudur Marathon.

“This success demonstrates that innovations based on plastic waste processing not only create value-added products but also generate social impact and support the strengthening of the circular economy," Reni noted. "The two alumni will also share their success stories today.”

She added that the Ministry of Industry is partnering with academics and industry professionals to mentor this year's participants. Through a specialized curriculum that includes targeted coursework, interactive discussions, and in-depth evaluations, the program aims to continue producing resilient SMEs capable of competing on the global stage.

Reni explained, “In this program, participants will take classes with a curriculum designed specifically for the needs of young entrepreneurs. By utilizing learning methods that include lectures, discussions, independent assignments, and evaluations, we expect to help SMEs advance to the next level, expand their markets, and develop sustainable businesses.”
