RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – Indonesia's Minister of Investment and Downstreaming, Rosan Roeslani, stated that Jakarta is the province with the highest investment realization in Indonesia in the first half of 2026. He made this statement in the Cabinet Meeting Room at the Jakarta Presidential Palace Complex on Thursday, July 16, 2026, following a meeting with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto.
The Minister said that in terms of the cumulative total of Domestic Direct Investment (DDI/PMDN) and Foreign Direct Investment (FDI/PMA) at the provincial level, Jakarta ranked first with a contribution of 17.2%, or Rp173.6 trillion, equivalent to USD9.68 billion. Jakarta is followed by West Java, East Java, Central Sulawesi, and Banten.

“In this context, for the total, which is indeed a combination of FDI and DDI, Jakarta still holds the top spot at 17.2%, followed by West Java at Rp138.1 trillion, East Java at Rp72.7 trillion, Central Sulawesi at Rp68.7 trillion, and Banten at Rp66.3 trillion,” Rosan explained.
In the FDI category, regions outside Java, such as Central Sulawesi, North Maluku, and the Riau Islands, rank among the top. Rosan noted that this is due to the dominance of investments in the mineral sector.
He said, “But if we look at it from the perspective of FDI, there are three regions outside Java, Central Sulawesi, North Maluku, and the Riau Islands. This is because much of this investment is in the mineral sector.”
Meanwhile, for DDI, the top five positions are held by Jakarta, West Java, East Java, Banten, and West Nusa Tenggara. Jakarta ranks first with a contribution of 21.2%, or Rp16.5 trillion, equivalent to USD919.78 million.
The realized investment shares between DDI and FDI are balanced, with DDI totaling Rp502.9 trillion (approximately USD28.04 billion) and FDI totaling Rp507.6 trillion (approximately USD28.30 billion). Similarly, in terms of regional distribution, investment in Java reached 49.8%, up 7.7%, while investment outside Java reached 50.2%, up 6.7%.
