RRI.CO.ID, Surabaya - The Ministry of Trade has invited businesses in East Java to take part in the 41st Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) 2026, Indonesia’s largest international trade exhibition. The event offers Indonesian businesses, including micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), a chance to showcase their leading products to the global market.
The invitation was delivered during a TEI 2026 roadshow in Surabaya, East Java, on Thursday, July 2, 2026. Director General of National Export Development Fajarini Puntodewi said TEI provides a strategic platform for domestic businesses to meet international buyers directly and expand their business networks.
“TEI 2026 opens opportunities for domestic businesses, including micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), to connect directly and broaden their networks with participating buyers. TEI is a strategic platform to expand market access while increasing exports of Indonesian products,” Fajarini said in a separate statement, as quoted by official statement.
At the event, Director of Primary Product Export Development, Miftah Farid, said TEI brings together exporters and prospective exporters with overseas buyers. He encouraged East Java businesses to use the opportunity to boost exports of their flagship products.
“East Java was Indonesia’s second-largest non-oil and gas exporting province in 2025, with leading products such as metals, jewelry, palm oil derivatives, and oleochemicals. We invite all businesses in East Java to participate in TEI 2026. Let us show the world that East Java’s products are excellent and capable of competing in the global market,” he said.
The 41st TEI will be held at Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD in Tangerang Regency, Banten, from October 14–18, 2026, under the theme “The Ultimate Hub for Global Sourcing.” The theme reflects Indonesia’s readiness to become a key global trade hub through high-quality, competitive, innovative, sustainable, and globally standardized products.
TEI 2026 will feature five product zones: Food, Beverage and Agriculture Products; Manufactured Products; Industrial Estate; Fashion and Craft; and Furniture and Home Decor. It will also host business matching, business counseling, business forums, and trade agreement signings.
“We are targeting more than 1,500 exhibitors, 8,000 buyers from various countries, and 30,000 visitors at TEI 2026. For transaction value, we are optimistic that it can reach USD 17.5 billion, or 6 percent higher than last year’s USD 16.5 billion,” Miftah conveyed.
Miftah said TEI could help sustain Indonesia’s economic momentum amid ongoing global trade challenges. “Indonesia still has potential amid global challenges. Let us make TEI 2026 an opportunity to sustain and accelerate national economic growth,” he said.
