RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia has officially been designated as the Official Partner Country for INNOPROM 2026, the largest international industrial exhibition in the Eurasian region, scheduled to take place from July 6–9, 2026, in Yekaterinburg. Supported by a delegation of 50 Indonesian industrial representatives, Indonesia’s participation marks a concrete step toward strengthening industrial partnerships with Russia and countries across Eurasia, while opening new opportunities for investment, manufacturing cooperation, and expanded export markets for Indonesian industrial products.

“Indonesia and Russia already share a strong industrial relationship. Our task now is to ensure that this foundation evolves into a concrete and sustainable partnership. INNOPROM 2026 provides an important opportunity to connect industrial players from both countries directly, increase investment, and create mutually beneficial cooperation,” Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita conveyed in a statement issued in Jakarta on Monday, June 22, 2026.

As the Official Partner Country, Indonesia will showcase a national pavilion spanning more than 1,500 square meters, making it one of the largest pavilions at INNOPROM 2026. Under the theme “Navigating Industrial Futures,” the pavilion will feature five priority sectors: agro-industry and food processing, chemicals and pharmaceuticals, specialized manufacturing and consumer goods, advanced manufacturing and engineering, and industrial estates and investment.

The Indonesian pavilion will also serve as a venue for business matching sessions, bilateral business forums, and high-level meetings between ministerial-level delegations from both countries.

Indonesia’s participation is supported by strengthening economic ties with Russia. In 2025, bilateral trade between the two countries reached approximately USD 1.88 billion, while Russian investment realization in Indonesia amounted to USD 262.8 million.

Bilateral relations have continued to strengthen in recent years. Following a meeting between Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and Russian President Vladimir Putin on December 10, 2025, which produced several strategic agreements in the economic and industrial sectors, the two leaders met again at the Moscow Kremlin in April 2026 to reinforce cooperation in energy, investment, technology, downstream industries, and industrial development.

The strengthening partnership was further marked by the signing of the Indonesia–Eurasian Economic Union Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (I-EAEU CEPA), which is expected to expand market access for Indonesian products across Eurasia while enhancing trade, industrial, and investment cooperation.

The momentum has already generated tangible outcomes, including a Letter of Intent (LoI) between PT PAL Indonesia and Rosato for cooperation on floating nuclear power plants, as well as discussions between Pupuk Indonesia and Uralchem.

As the world’s 13th-largest manufacturing nation by Manufacturing Value Added (MVA) and Southeast Asia’s largest manufacturing economy, Indonesia views INNOPROM 2026 as a strategic opportunity to expand industrial partnerships, attract investment, and strengthen its position as a key industrial partner in Eurasia.

“We are not coming to Yekaterinburg merely to introduce ourselves. With the strong bilateral foundation already in place, Indonesia sees INNOPROM 2026 as the starting point for long-term cooperation with Eurasian partners,” Director General of Industrial Resilience, Regional Development, and International Industrial Access, Tri Supondy said.

INNOPROM is recognized as one of the world’s most influential industrial exhibitions and forums. It provides Indonesia with a strategic platform to attract new industrial investment, promote co-production and joint manufacturing initiatives, expand market access for Indonesian manufactured goods in Eurasia, and strengthen its role as a strategic industrial partner for Russia and members of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).

Indonesia follows the footsteps of the United Arab Emirates, which served as Official Partner Country in 2024, and Saudi Arabia in 2025, further underscoring Indonesia’s growing importance within the global industrial ecosystem.
