RRI.CO.ID, Tangerang Selatan - The Indonesian Ministry of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency (Ekraf) has reaffirmed its commitment to boosting the craft subsector through the Creative Economy Export Acceleration (ASIK) Kriya Batch 3 bootcamp. This program, featuring 20 selected brands from across Indonesia, serves as a vital bridge for local artisans to enhance their global competitiveness.

Deputy for Cultural Creativity and Design at the Ministry of Ekraf, Yuke Sri Rahayu expressed high optimism for this year’s cohort. "We see great potential in the Batch 3 participants to represent Indonesian crafts in the global market," she said on Monday, May 4, 2026, as quoted on Ministry's official website.

The selected participants will undergo an intensive five-day training session from May 4 to May 8, 2026, in Tangerang Selatan. These brands represent a diverse geographical range, including Jakarta, Yogyakarta, Bali, Lombok Barat, and Binjai, among others.

The selection process involved rigorous curation by industry practitioners who focused on four essential pillars to identify the top participants. A primary focus was placed on product quality to ensure all selected brands maintain high manufacturing standards.

The committee also prioritized innovation and originality, seeking out unique designs that have the potential to stand out on an international stage. Furthermore, they evaluated sustainability by assessing the long-term viability and environmental consciousness of each business.

The curation process targeted market appeal, specifically identifying products with high potential to attract and satisfy international buyers.

ASIK Kriya is designed as more than just technical training; it is a comprehensive business development ecosystem. Following the success of the first dua batches, which supported 40 brands, Batch 3 continues to focus on several strategic areas, beginning with the strengthening of brand identity by enhancing the narrative and visual appeal of local labels.

The program also emphasizes market-based development, which involves tailoring products to meet the specific demands and preferences of international consumers. Additionally, participants receive specialized export mentoring to provide direct guidance on navigating the various complexities and regulations of global trade.

The Ministry emphasizes that the success of these artisans translates into broader regional growth. Beyond increasing revenue, the program aims to stimulate job creation and strengthen the creative economy ecosystems within the participants' home regions.

Following the bootcamp, the 20 brands will participate in further intensive sessions and product collaborations to prepare for strategic exhibitions both domestically and abroad. ***

Participants of the ASIK Kriya Batch 3 bootcamp gather in Tangerang Selatan. The program aims to transform local Indonesian craft brands into globally recognized exporters through intensive mentorship and market alignment. ***
