Riding this momentum, Japanese sportswear company ASICS has introduced its latest innovation -- the SONICSMASH™ FF padel shoes -- to support the expanding padel community.
“At ASICS, we want to contribute positively to the padel community by offering sport science–based innovations that enhance player performance,” President & COO of ASICS, Mitsuyuki Tominaga, said during the product launch event in Jakarta on Sunday, March 29, 2026, as quoted by Antara.

Key features include: SPEEDTRUSS™ technology for improved stability and explosive acceleration during quick directional changes; FLYTEFOAM™ midsole for lightweight cushioning and optimal responsiveness; X-GROOVE™ outsole with herringbone pattern for strong traction and flexibility in rotational movements; and breathable mesh upper to keep feet comfortable during intense matches.
Sugiyama emphasized that the launch reflects ASICS Indonesia’s commitment to encouraging active lifestyles, while reinforcing the company’s campaign message: Move your body, move your mind.
The launch event combined product showcases with community competitions, including mini tournaments, “Try ASICS” sessions where participants tested the new shoes, and coaching clinics led by professional trainers. These activities underscored ASICS’s goal of building an inclusive and sustainable padel ecosystem.
By introducing high-performance footwear and engaging directly with local players, ASICS hopes to inspire more Indonesians to embrace padel as part of their daily lifestyle -- strengthening both the sport’s community and its future growth in the country. ***
