RRI.CO.ID, Chicago — Indonesian homeware products recorded potential transactions worth USD 11.07 million, or approximately Rp182.74 billion, at The Inspired Home Show 2026 held on March 10–12, 2026, at McCormick Place, Chicago, United States.

During the three-day exhibition, the Indonesia Pavilion attracted more than 100 potential buyers from the United States as well as other countries, including China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Mauritius, New Zealand, Spain, and Brazil.

Head of the Indonesia Trade Promotion Center Chicago, Dhonny Yudho Kusuma, said Indonesia’s participation in the exhibition opened up significant opportunities for Indonesian homeware products to gain wider recognition in the US market.

“Indonesia’s participation in IHS 2026 opens up major opportunities for Indonesian homeware products to be better known in the US market. With potential transactions reaching USD 11.07 million, we are optimistic that Indonesian businesses can expand their networks and increase exports to the US,” Dhonny said.

He added that Indonesian products received positive responses due to their uniqueness and limited availability in the US market, attracting visitors and opening opportunities for business partnerships with prospective buyers.

Indonesia’s participation in the exhibition was a collaboration between ITPC Chicago and the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in Chicago as part of the government’s efforts to expand market access for national products.

Consul General of Indonesia in Chicago, Trisari Dyah Paramita, said the participation reflects the government’s commitment to strengthening bilateral economic relations while increasing the penetration of Indonesian products in the US market.

"We are optimistic that Indonesian houseware and home décor products can compete in the global market through their strong design, quality, and sustainability principles,” Trisari said.

The Inspired Home Show is one of the largest homeware exhibitions in the United States, held for more than 80 years, featuring over 2,000 brands from various countries.

This year, the Indonesia Pavilion featured six companies: Aksata Rattan, Canela Home Decorative, PT CMN Internasional Indonesia, PT Inspira Furnexindo, Tanteri Bali, and Tourd’Horizon, showcasing products such as wooden tableware, home décor, and rattan crafts.

Indonesia’s eighth participation in the exhibition recorded an increase compared to its 2024 participation, which reached Rp133.19 billion. The rise highlights strong global demand for Indonesian homeware products.

Director of Aksata Rattan, Vladimir Dicky, expressed appreciation for the support from ITPC and the Indonesian Consulate in Chicago, noting that the exhibition helped secure potential deals with major buyers and expand business networks.

ITPC Chicago and the Indonesian Consulate in Chicago are committed to strengthening the promotion of Indonesian products in global markets, including through engagement with distributors, importers, retail networks, and e-commerce platforms in the Midwest region and beyond.
