RRI.CO.ID, Vancouver - The Indonesia Pavilion is present at the Canadian Health Food Association (CHFA) Natural Organic Wellness (NOW) 2026 exhibition through the collaboration of the Indonesian Trade Promotion Center (ITPC) Vancouver and the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia (KJRI) Vancouver. The exhibition, held on 21–22 February 2026, at the Vancouver Convention Center, Canada, is one of the largest trade events in Canada promoting natural, healthy, and organic products. This year, CHFA NOW featured 900 exhibitors and was attended by approximately 3,000 business actors, consisting of distributors and retail stores from various regions across Canada.
"The participation of the Indonesia Pavilion at CHFA is our fourth participation and will continue annually to further promote Indonesian natural and organic products to Canada, which is certainly done through collaboration between KJRI and ITPC Vancouver," stated the Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia in Vancouver, Nina Kurnia Widhi, quoted from an official release on Tuesday, 24 February 2026.
The Indonesia Pavilion was officially opened by the Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia in Vancouver, Nina Kurnia Widhi, accompanied by the Head of ITPC Vancouver, Silvi Mustikawati, on February 21, 2026. At this exhibition, the Indonesia Pavilion introduced flagship natural and organic products from Exotique Foods, PT Azaki Food Internasional, PT IndoWooyang, PT Beta Moringa Indonesia, PT Wins Indonesia Sukses, PT Indo Tropical Group, Omitosh World FZCO, and Archipelago Food Distributor Ltd.
Product variants showcased included distinctive Indonesian tea products, specialty Indonesian coffee, tempeh chips, fruit chips, root vegetable chips, organic coconut sugar, natural sweeteners, healthy noodles made with natural ingredients, aromatic rice, and dried sweet potatoes.
According to Nina, Indonesia's participation in CHFA is not only to showcase the diversity of Indonesian natural products but also to demonstrate the uniqueness and distinctiveness of various Indonesian natural products obtained from certified organic ingredients.
The Head of ITPC Vancouver, Silvi Mustikawati, added that participation in CHFA is a prime opportunity to present Indonesian products as a promising choice for the competitive Canadian market.
"We also want to show that Indonesia has food and beverage products that prioritize health for consumers through selected organic raw materials. We hope that the potential trade transactions of USD 7.6 million from this exhibition can be realized," she added.
One of the exhibitors, PT Azaki Food International, has the vision 'Azaki Tempe Mendunia' (Azaki Tempeh Goes Global), which is to bring tempeh as a traditional Indonesian superfood to the global stage as part of a future of healthier, more sustainable, and environmentally friendly food.
"We extend our deepest gratitude to ITPC and KJRI Vancouver for inviting us. Through this direct participation, we also gained deeper insights into market requirements, consumer preferences, quality standards, and expectations regarding product innovation. We were also connected with the right target market, including buyers, distributors, and consumers who have a high interest in healthy and plant-based food products," said the CEO of PT Azaki Food International, Cucup Ruhiyat.
In 2025, total Indonesia-Canada trade reached USD 4.36 billion, an increase of 22 percent compared to the previous year's USD 3.6 billion. Indonesian exports to Canada recorded a strong growth of 17.68 percent from USD 1.44 billion in 2024 to USD 1.69 billion in 2025.
"This figure reflects the significant potential that can continue to be developed through synergy among various parties and active participation in trade exhibitions like CHFA NOW and can be further enhanced through the utilization of the Indonesia-Canada Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (ICA-CEPA) once it enters the implementation phase," emphasized Silvi.
According to Silvi, based on the Global Organic Trade report, the Indonesian organic products market is projected to continue recording positive growth with a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 7.8 percent during the 2023–2028 period. In line with this trend, the market value is estimated to reach USD 1.67 billion by 2028. "This growth projection opens strategic opportunities to further strengthen the position and increase exports of Indonesian organic products to the international market, especially to countries with increasingly high consumer preferences for quality organic products," she concluded.
