RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) opened higher on Wednesday morning, February 11, 2026, supported by positive domestic and global sentiment.
The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) rose 21.05 points, or 0.26 percent, to 8,152.79 at the opening. The LQ45 index, which tracks 45 leading stocks, gained 0.99 points, or 0.12 percent, to 830.42.
“Based on technical analysis, we see the JCI potentially strengthening in a limited range, with support at 7,800 and resistance at 8,320,” Maximilianus Nico Demus, associate director of research and investment at Pilarmas Investindo Sekuritas, said in a statement in Jakarta on Wednesday, as quoted by Antara.
Domestically, the government has prepared three strategies to increase tax revenue as part of efforts to keep the state budget deficit below 3 percent of gross domestic product (GDP) and to raise the tax ratio to 11–12 percent by 2026.
Nico said wider fiscal space would allow the government to finance priority programs without aggressively increasing debt.
“However, in the short term, intensifying supervision and enforcement could add to corporate compliance burdens, so it needs to be balanced with incentives to avoid putting pressure on economic growth,” he said.
From overseas, market participants are awaiting the release of US Change in Nonfarm Payrolls and Average Hourly Earnings data, both monthly and annual, which are expected to post stronger growth and thereby reduce pressure on the US Federal Reserve.
Cleveland Fed President Beth Hammack said interest rates could be maintained for an extended period as officials continue to assess US economic data.
Similarly, Dallas Fed President Lorie Logan supported keeping the Fed Funds Rate (FFR) unchanged in the near term unless the labor market shows significant weakening.
Hammack and Logan are voting members of the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC), whose next meeting is scheduled for March 17–18, 2026.
On Tuesday, February 10, US markets closed mostly lower. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.10 percent to 50,188.14, while the S&P 500 fell 0.33 percent to 6,941.81 and the Nasdaq Composite dropped 0.56 percent to 25,127.64.
In Asia on Wednesday morning, the Shanghai Composite gained 0.13 percent to 4,133.60, the Hang Seng increased 0.18 percent to 27,231.03, and Singapore’s Straits Times Index edged up 0.06 percent to 4,967.41. Japan’s Nikkei index was closed for National Foundation Day. ***
