KBRN, Zurich: The Indonesian Ministry of Creative Economy, in collaboration with the Indonesian Embassy (KBRI) in Bern, is actively working to expand the market for Indonesian creative products and attract investment in Switzerland. This effort was showcased through a specialized business matching event held in Zurich on Monday, December 8, 2025.

The event featured four Indonesian companies operating in the creative economy sector (Ekraf), including Sour Sally Group (food & beverage), Akasacara Film (film & media), PT. Ladang Lima (food processing), and the Singasari Special Economic Zone (KEK).

Ngurah Swajaya, the Indonesian Ambassador to Switzerland and Liechtenstein, emphasized the importance of aggressive Ekraf promotion. "Ekraf's contribution to Indonesia's GDP is around 7 percent," he noted, as quoted by Antara.

He sees collaboration with Switzerland as a highly strategic move. "If creativity is combined with innovation, especially Swiss technology, it will result in a superior creative economy," said Ambassador Ngurah.

Indonesia's creative economy sector has shown robust performance, recording a total investment of Rp90.12 trillion and absorbing 26.47 million workers in the first half of 2025.

Significantly, Switzerland currently ranks as the second largest export destination for Indonesian creative economy products. Export value to Switzerland reached USD 960.6 million USD in the first half of 2025.

Lily Savitri, Head of the Economic Section at KBRI Bern, highlighted the essential role of the local Indonesian community in this success.

"The Indonesian diaspora has always been the nation's ambassador, not only through their respective professions but also through tangible contributions in strengthening Indonesia's image and network in Switzerland," Lily said. ***
