KBRN, Jakarta: The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) opened higher on Friday morning, November 7, 2025, rising 0.11 percent to 8,346.5, as investors took selective positions in domestic stocks amid broad weakness across Asian and global markets.
The IHSG gained 9.52 points, or 0.11 percent, to 8,346.5, while the LQ45 Index, which tracks 45 leading stocks rose 0.40 points or 0.05 percent to 848.05.
“Today, the IHSG is predicted to move lower within the range of 8,200-8,350,” said Ratih Mustikoningsih, a financial expert from Ajaib Sekuritas, in a market review on Friday, November 7, 2025, as quoted by antaranews.com.
Investor sentiment in Asia remained cautious as markets awaited China’s latest inflation data due later this week. In September 2025, China recorded consumer deflation of 0.3 percent (yoy) and producer deflation of 2.3 percent (yoy), raising concerns about weakening demand in the world’s second-largest economy.
Market players also expressed worries over overvaluation in US AI and semiconductor companies, which are projected to deliver growth below expectations going forward.
From the domestic front, Indonesia’s Residential Property Price Index (IHPR) strengthened 0.84 percent year-on-year (yoy) in the third quarter of 2025, following a 0.90 percent yoy increase in the previous quarter.

However, in terms of sales volume, property transactions fell 1.29 percent yoy in Q3, an improvement from a 3.80 percent yoy contraction in Q2. The majority of Financing 74.41 percent was conducted through mortgage (KPR) schemes.
Residential property demand has not yet fully recovered amid Indonesia’s political transition period and the high-interest-rate environment, which continues to suppress purchasing power.
Overnight, U.S. stocks on Wall Street closed broadly lower. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.84 percent to 46,913.65, the S&P 500 dropped 1.12 percent to 6,720.39, and the Nasdaq Composite slid 1.91 percent to 25,130.04.
European markets also weakened on Thursday, November 6. The Euro Stoxx 50 dropped 1.10 percent, the FTSE 100 in the UK slipped 0.42 percent, Germany’s DAX fell 1.31 percent, and France’s CAC 40 lost 1.36 percent.
In Asia, regional indexes opened mixed on Friday morning: Nikkei fell 953.18 points or 1.91 percent to 49,930.80, Shanghai Composite dropped 5.57 points or 0.14 percent to 4,002.25, Hang Seng declined 206.77 points or 0.80 percent to 26,275.50, Straits Times rose 8.24 points or 0.18 percent to 4,493.07. ***
