KBRN, Jakarta: Sutan Sjahrir Air Base, Padang, West Sumatra, held the Sumbar Paragliding Jamboree I Year 2025 in the Gunung Bungsu area, Taeh Bukik, Payakumbuh District, Limapuluh Kota Regency on May 17-18, 2025.
The event is to encourage the regeneration of paragliding athletes and promote the potential of aerospace sports tourism in West Sumatra.
This activity is a tangible manifestation of the implementation of the spirit of the AMPUH Air Force (Adaptive, Modern, Professional, Superior, and Humanist) in fostering aerospace sports.
In a Press Release received by RRI Voice of Indonesia (VO) from the Air Force Information Service on Monday evening (19/5/2025) Commander of Sutan Sjahrir Air Base and Chairman of Indonesia Aero Sport Federation (FASI) West Sumatra, Colonel Sani Salman Nuryadin, conveyed that this jamboree was not only a gathering event among communities, but also a place to produce talented young athletes while building connectivity in the sports and tourism sectors.
