Closing the 37th UN Tourism Meeting, Deputy Minister of Tourism Stresses the Importance of Circular Economy in Tourism

KBRN, Jakarta: Indonesian Deputy Minister of Tourism Ni Luh Puspa emphasized the importance of implementing a circular economy as the key to developing sustainable tourism that has an impact on society. Ni Luh said this when closing the 37th Joint Commission Meeting for the UN Tourism Commission for East Asia and the Pacific (CAP) and the UN Tourism Commission for South Asia (CSA) at the Mulia Senayan Hotel, Jakarta, Wednesday (16/4/2025). Ni Luh assessed that a circular economy not only forms a sustainable tourism ecosystem, but also encourages tourism to provide economic benefits to society, as well as contributing to overcoming environmental challenges.
