Labuan Bajo Clean Tourism Movement Promotes Sustainable Tourism

KBRN, Jakarta: The Ministry of Tourism, in collaboration with the West Manggarai Regency Government, PT Pengembangan Pariwisata Indonesia (ITDC), and the Labuan Bajo Flores Authority Implementing Agency (BPOLBF), launched the "Clean Tourism Movement (GWB)" in Labuan Bajo. This initiative aims to create a clean destination, foster enthusiasm, and promote collaborative efforts towards sustainable and quality tourism.

The Clean Tourism Movement in Labuan Bajo took place at two locations: the Marina Waterfront area and Pede Beach, NTT, Saturday (12/4/2025). The event featured a mass waste clean-up with 2,000 participants, collecting a total of 1,080.6 kilograms of waste.

Beyond the clean-up, the event also focused on raising awareness through education and campaigns targeting both tourists and local communities. It also included the provision of eco-friendly trash bins to support the movement's sustainability goals.
