RRI.CO.ID, Berastagi – The Karo Flower and Fruit Festival 2026 will return from July 30 to August 1, 2026, at Mejuah-juah Park in Berastagi, Karo Regency, North Sumatra. As part of the 2026 Karisma Event Nusantara (KEN) calendar, the festival will highlight the region's rich natural landscapes, vibrant culture, and leading agricultural products.

Over the three-day event, visitors will be able to enjoy a wide range of attractions, including the iconic Karo Flower and Fruit Parade, traditional and contemporary cultural performances, MSME exhibitions, a culinary festival, and showcases of the region's agricultural and horticultural products. A variety of community entertainment programs will also enliven the festival.

The Karo Flower and Fruit Festival has become one of the region's signature annual events, celebrating Karo Regency's identity through its tourism potential, cultural heritage, and the creativity of its local communities. The festival also serves as a platform to promote locally made products and the region's growing creative economy.

According to a press release received by RRI Voice of Indonesia on Tuesday (July 28), Karo Regent Dr. dr. Antonius Ginting, Sp.OG., M.Kes. said the festival is more than just an entertainment event, serving as a platform to introduce the region's natural beauty, rich cultural heritage, and leading agricultural products to a wider audience.

"The Karo Flower and Fruit Festival is not merely an entertainment event but also an opportunity to showcase the beauty of our natural landscapes, our rich cultural heritage, and Karo's outstanding agricultural products to the public. We invite people from across Indonesia to visit Berastagi, experience the warmth and hospitality of the Karo people, and enjoy an unforgettable travel experience," Antonius Ginting said.

He added that the festival is expected to further strengthen the local tourism sector while generating economic benefits for the community. Increased tourist arrivals are also anticipated to create greater opportunities for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), farmers, artists, and creative communities throughout Karo Regency.

Karo Regency is widely recognized as one of North Sumatra's premier tourist destinations, offering breathtaking mountain scenery, cool weather, and high-quality horticultural products. Berastagi, in particular, has long been a favorite destination for travelers seeking a combination of natural beauty and rich cultural experiences.

The Karo Flower and Fruit Festival 2026 is expected to further enhance the region's profile among both domestic and international visitors. Beyond preserving local traditions, the festival is also anticipated to strengthen Karo Regency's reputation as a year-round tourism destination.
