RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The Minister of Creative Economy/Head of the Creative Economy Agency, Teuku Riefky Harsya, welcomed the 2026 Mitra Seni Indonesia (MSI) Arts Festival & Bazaar, which optimizes the potential of arts and culture as a national identity and driver of the creative economy. "I am very grateful to the committee, artists, and visitors who actively support the creative economy ecosystem by purchasing local products," Teuku Riefky said.

The Minister of Creative Economy believes this festival boosts the creative economy ecosystem and emphasizes the importance of unity amidst the cultural diversity of the archipelago. "I'm delighted to see this year's festival theme, 'Arts and Culture Meet Economy.' This theme illustrates that culture is not only a heritage we preserve, but also a source of creativity that can create economic value and open up opportunities for the community," he said in Jakarta on Tuesday, July 21, 2026.

This annual festival, now in its fourth year, invites the public to enjoy the diversity of Indonesian arts and culture while witnessing the transformation of the performing arts, crafts, fashion, culinary, and music sub-sectors into globally competitive creative products. Over three days, from July 21–23, 2026, the event, titled 'Rampak Melayu,' features fashion shows, traditional music, dance performances, cultural talks, and an exhibition featuring at least 90 booths from creative economy activists.

Riefky is targeting a promotional reach of up to 50,000 people, with an estimated 1,000–1,500 visitors. "Therefore, we continue to strengthen the creative ecosystem through capacity building, access to financing, intellectual property protection, digitalization, and market expansion," Teuku Riefky affirmed.

The Minister also emphasized that developing the potential of the creative economy requires the implementation of an inclusive hexa-helix collaboration between the government, business, academia, communities, media, and the public. This synergy is crucial for producing national works that are competitive on both the domestic and international stage.

The 2026 MSI Festival feels even more timely, coinciding with the commemoration of Jakarta's 499th anniversary, National Children's Day, and National Kebaya Day. The Ministry of Creative Economy hopes that collaborative platforms like this can consistently produce innovative works and solidify the creative economy as the New Engine of Growth for the Indonesian economy.
