RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – Minister of Culture, Fadli Zon, has issued a nationwide call for "radical collaboration" between the state, private sector, and local communities to safeguard Indonesia’s architectural heritage.

During a visiting of historic sites in Kuningan, West Java, the Minister emphasized that the survival of cultural landmarks depends on a unified ecosystem rather than government intervention alone. This approach aims to transform static monuments into vibrant hubs for the next generation.

"We must collectively guard this cultural heritage. We will continue to support and utilize these assets together so that this cultural legacy can remain sustainable and enduring. We will focus on supporting cultural progress, including the Paseban Tri Panca Tunggal heritage site," said Minister Fadli Zon while visiting the Paseban Tri Panca Tunggal Building and the Raksa Wacana Arts Center on Sunday, April 5, 2026.

The Minister’s visit to these two sites underscores a strategic pivot for the Ministry, signaling a commitment to deep-rooted regional engagement. The Paseban Tri Panca Tunggal, located in the Cigugur Subdistrict, serves as a profound philosophical "womb" for the Sunda Wiwitan indigenous community (AKUR).

The building is not merely a structure but the guardian of the five perfections of human life. It hosts the annual Seren Taun harvest festival, a powerful symbol of food sovereignty and environmental harmony that has persisted for centuries.

Shifting the focus to contemporary cultural infrastructure, Minister Fadli also evaluated the Raksa Wacana Arts Center. He articulated a vision where infrastructure and philanthropy intersect to revive regional art scenes.

"The presence of arts centers in every regency is considered vital for the cultural ecosystem. The Ministry of Culture is committed to supporting the revitalization of such facilities by involving local administration, the private sector, and philanthropic individuals," he remarked, as quoted by Antara.

The Raksa Wacana Arts Center carries the legacy of H. Aang Hamid Suganda, a prominent figure in Kuningan’s development. The name itself, meaning "guarding a mandate" or "maintaining one's word," reflects a commitment that transcends the arts.

This vision was historically bolstered by economic support through the Raksa Wacana Agri Purnama Rural Bank (BPR), established in 1995 to link cultural preservation with local economic resilience.

Today, the center is being repurposed as a transformative space where children can engage with their ancestral roots. Minister Fadli concluded that with adequate physical support and well-planned programming, these arts centers across Indonesia can evolve into dynamic cultural spaces. ***
