RRI Madiun Marks 81st Anniversary with Public Radio Tour

RRI.CO.ID, Madiun - Marking its 81st anniversary, the National Radio Station Radio Republik Indonesia (RRI) Madiun opened its studio doors to the general public through its Radio Tour program. The open house event invited visitors from various backgrounds to directly observe broadcasting processes and studio operations.
Chairperson of the 81st Anniversary Committee of RRI, Ananda Khrisna Pharamita, explained that the Radio Tour idea emerged from high demand for educational visits from academic institutions. This program was then expanded to the general public during RRI’s special anniversary moment.
“In fact, our daily activities include serving learning requests from schools and campuses. What is different is that, in conjunction with RRI’s 81st anniversary, we are holding an open house. This radio tour is open to the general public so they can understand what goes on inside RRI and how the broadcasting process works,” said Ananda on Tuesday, 8 September 2026.
The program attracted interest from various groups, ranging from university students exploring internship opportunities to school pupils. A student at Hasyim Asy’ari University in Jombang, Bakhit Jauharullaudza, said he used the Radio Tour moment to get a closer look at the working environment at RRI Madiun.
“Coincidentally, this semester there is an internship agenda and we chose RRI Madiun. Through information on Instagram, we learned about the Radio Tour program. We also took the chance to see the place to develop our interest in the presenter field. We hope RRI becomes increasingly successful and triumphant, proving that even in the digital era, RRI remains existent and continues to keep pace with the times,” said Bakhit.
Similar enthusiasm came from school students. A student at State High School 1 Madiun, Shafara Aulia Yuliananta, who is also active as a broadcaster in her school’s extracurricular radio club, felt the activity was highly relevant for deepening her knowledge of the broadcasting world.
“I want to know the history of radio, where it began and how it has survived until now. Coincidentally, at school I joined the radio extracurricular and became a broadcaster, so this is perfect for adding to my insights. I hope RRI becomes increasingly triumphant, stays on air, and continues to develop,” said Shafara.
Through the Radio Tour, RRI Madiun hopes to continue drawing closer to the community while educating the younger generation about the role and adaptation of radio media in the digital era. (Annaila Azzahra-EN)
