RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The Jakarta Provincial Administration is enhancing its digital employment information systems to streamline access for residents seeking verified job opportunities abroad.

To achieve this, the Jakarta Manpower, Transmigration, and Energy Agency (Disnakertransgi) is integrating its local job portal, Karier Jakarta, with central government databases, including the Manpower Ministry’s SIAPkerja platform and the Ministry for the Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers’ (KP2MI) information network.

"We are providing job seekers with opportunities to receive real-time updates regarding both domestic and overseas job openings, we will integrate Karier Jakarta with central government systems, including SIAPkerja and KP2MI's system," said Head of the Job Placement Division at Jakarta Disnakertransgi, Taufik in East Jakarta on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, as quoted by Antara.

Taufik emphasized that international job opportunities represent a strategic alternative to expand employment access, noting that approximately 200,000 overseas job opportunities are currently open to Indonesian workers across various sectors.

Among these opportunities, the Government of Mongolia recently expressed intent to recruit up to 8,000 Jakarta residents, following bilateral discussions with Disnakertransgi officials last week. The agency is currently awaiting official recruitment permits from KP2MI before opening formal application channels.

Additionally, Disnakertransgi announced that Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung is scheduled to officially dispatch around 500 Jakarta residents to overseas work placements in December 2026, following their completion of capacity-building and pre-departure training programs.

City officials reiterated that expanding digital access must be coupled with rigorous workforce preparation to ensure Indonesian migrant workers remain competitive and well-protected.

Taufik urged job seekers to prioritize competency, discipline, and adaptability alongside formal academic qualifications when applying for international roles.
