RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The South Jakarta Class I Immigration Office has deported two Vietnamese citizens caught operating an illegal, unlicensed medical practice at a clinic in the upscale Radio Dalam area of Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta.
The two foreign nationals, identified by their initials THT and NNQVT, were expelled from the country on separate dates following a brief evasion attempt by one of the suspects. In addition to being deported, both individuals have been placed on the official entry blacklist, barring them from re-entering Indonesian territory for a designated period.
"THT was deported on June 17, 2026, while NNQVT was deported on June 24, 2026, through Soekarno-Hatta Airport," South Jakarta Immigration Information and Communication Section Chief Rian Kasim confirmed in Jakarta on Sunday, July 19, 2026, as quoted by Antara.
The enforcement operation began after local residents filed suspicious activity reports via the immigration office’s official Instagram account (@kanimjaksel). Acting swiftly on the community tip-off, the South Jakarta Immigration Intelligence and Enforcement (Inteldakim) team launched a targeted investigation and raided the premises.
During the initial sweep, the enforcement team successfully detained THT. However, NNQVT managed to flee the location while the inspection was actively underway.
To prevent the suspect from leaving the country undetected, immigration officials immediately logged NNQVT’s identity into the Directorate General of Immigration’s digital Subject of Interest (SOI) border control tracking system.
The strategy proved effective when NNQVT triggered a system notification while attempting to clear border controls at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport to escape the country. Airport immigration officers detained the suspect on the spot and transferred custody back to the South Jakarta Immigration Intelligence and Enforcement (Inteldakim) team for formal interrogation.
Following a thorough investigation, both Vietnamese nationals were found guilty of conducting commercial activities completely inconsistent with the scope and purpose of their granted stay permits. Their unauthorized clinical activities constituted a direct violation of Article 122, letter a of Law No. 6/2011 on Immigration.
The South Jakarta Class I Immigration Office highly praised the local public for their proactive vigilance in reporting visa abuse and illegal foreign workers. Authorities reiterated that every citizen report is processed rapidly and professionally to safeguard regional security, maintain public order, and uphold national immigration laws. ***
