RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia is advancing a ambitious vision through the development of its new capital, Nusantara, as a symbol of transformation and long-term national ambition. More than a relocation project, it reflects a strategic shift toward a more balanced and future-ready nation.

At a youth forum in Jakarta on Thursday, 30 April 2026, Troy Pantouw engaged directly with young Indonesians, highlighting the country’s openness to dialogue. The forum underscored the growing role of youth as active participants in shaping Indonesia’s future.

Progress on Nusantara continues steadily, with key government infrastructure already under development. “The development of IKN continues and has never been officially delayed or stopped,” Troy emphasized, reinforcing certainty around the project.

Beyond governance, Nusantara is envisioned as a new economic center outside Java. This expansion aims to reduce regional inequality while creating new growth opportunities across East Kalimantan and beyond.

Indonesia is also investing in its people, ensuring that development goes hand in hand with education and innovation. Programs focusing on foundational skills and character building are preparing a generation ready to compete globally.

Sustainability remains at the core of Nusantara’s identity, particularly in protecting its rich biodiversity. “We are highly committed to protecting the environment, including wildlife,” Troy stated, affirming strong environmental safeguards.

As Indonesia moves toward its 2045 vision, its youth stand at the forefront of transformation. With innovation, responsibility, and global awareness, they are shaping a nation ready to take its place on the world stage.
