RRI.CO.ID, Gorontalo – Elementary and Secondary Education Deputy Minister, Atip Latipulhayat, officially inaugurated a school revitalization program at Telaga 3 State Junior High School, Gorontalo Regency, on Tuesday, April 28, 2026.
The ceremony marked the commencement of large-scale educational facility upgrades across Gorontalo Province, a key component of President Prabowo Subianto’s Quick Win Program (PHTC). During the visit, Atip was accompanied by Gorontalo Governor, Gusnar Ismail, and Deputy Governor, Idah Syahidah Rusli Habibie.
Atip emphasized that rehabilitating physical infrastructure is a critical step toward achieving the national vision of equitable, high-quality education. "This inauguration embodies President Prabowo Subianto’s Quick Win Program, specifically the revitalization of educational facilities. The Elementary and Secondary Education Ministry translates this through a quality education for all initiative, where quality remains the primary orientation," said Atip, as quoted by infopublik.id.
In 2025, the ministry allocated a budget of IDR 16.9 trillion (USD 980 million) through a self-management scheme to revitalize 16,171 educational units nationwide.
Of that national total, Gorontalo Province received IDR 77.8 billion (USD 4.51 million) to upgrade 105 schools. During this working visit, 29 schools across various educational levels were symbolically inaugurated.
Atip explained that the use of the self-management scheme is designed to stimulate the local economy. By involving local communities in the construction process and the procurement of materials, the government hopes to foster a deeper sense of accountability toward the facilities.
"The self-management scheme facilitates local economic movement. Materials are purchased from the community, and the work is carried out by the community under the supervision of the school principal. This will foster a sense of responsibility and ownership," added Atip.
Specifically, Telaga 3 State Junior High School was granted an allocation of IDR 1.436 billion (USD 83,270). The funds were utilized for vital infrastructure, including a computer laboratory, sanitation facilities, the rehabilitation of two classrooms, a science laboratory, and restroom repairs.
"I must remind everyone about maintenance. We must ensure these facilities do not fall into disrepair or become neglected just a month from now," he concluded. ***
